For as long as I can remember, Spring has been my favorite season. You get to brush the Winter cobwebs off and bask in the sunshine, and I thought there was nothing better – especially for horse folks.
Then I became obsessed with the wonderful world of photography and it turns out, there is something better. Or, at least, something equally good.
Fall light.
It’s so soft and beautiful and holds the promise of changing seasons but draws you in with it’s temporary warmth.
It’s rare for me to get to see the boys come in from the field for suppertime these days, they’re always so vigilant in watching for us to get home and be waiting for their supper, but this particular night I got lucky. I thought I was going to get a horse race (as is typical) but I’m actually glad they came ambling in instead. It sure made for some pretty images.
And, of course, I got my little model Lucy to take a break from looking for the phantom tennis ball to smile pretty for me.
