Cowgirl Gift Guide

2019 Edition!

It’s amazing to me that people say horse girls are “hard to shop for” because there is ALWAYS something on my list. Always.

First, boot socks. Socks that stay up where they are supposed to. These Wrangler ones are my favorite and the price is right… $16 for three pairs!

This pommel pocket has been a lifesaver! It’s the perfect size for my phone, camera remote, chapstick, sunscreen and a couple snacks. Easily accessible and nothing gets squished.

Along with the above pommel pocket, this oilskin cantle bag is probably my favorite thing ever. It’s waterproof, I can fit my heavy coat, tripod, halter and lead and my fleece in there when the morning chill burns off.

LB Arrow Cinch Co. mohair tack set OR gift card so your recipient can select their own custom tack set!

Andrea Equine halter and lead set. Every horse girl needs another halter and lead and you can’t go wrong with these high quality and fair priced sets! Plus, the colors are drool-worthy… Also, Andrea Equine mecate reins!

Handmade jewelry like this beautiful necklace from The Noisy Plume will always be a favorite gift… I promise.

Another handmade jewelry option is Saddle Tramp Brand’s gorgeous earrings!

Looking for a big ticket item? Sparky at Cow Camp Supply has got you covered! Custom chinks, headstalls, saddle bags… he does beautiful work!

Something I think we all have a hard time spending money on for ourselves is clothes. I feel like the holidays are a great time to gift a cowgirl some clothes!

Some of my favorite places to shop are:

  • Cruel Denim (for the outfit above… use discount code piperszoo for a bit of a discount!)
  • Cinch Jeans (my favorite place to get button-ups and the CUTEST fleece pull overs)
  • Outback Trading Co. (every cowgirl needs an oilskin coat and this is the BEST place to get one!)
  • Tony Lama and Twisted X for buckaroo style boots
  • Stetson (everyone needs a hat but did you know Stetson also has super cute clothing items?)

And last, but hopefully not least, I have a project I have been working on for the last few months: I am hoping to launch three western-style graphic tees the end of November! So keep your eye out. 😉

WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Fueled by equal parts horse hair and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story, your love, is beautiful and I can’t wait to capture it in images you will treasure for years to come. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together.
