Pretty Light

I’ve said it before, but dust is one of my favorite light diffusers to take photos in. There is just something about it that is totally dreamy and magical… when it’s not sitting on all the furniture in my house. It’s much less dreamy and magical there!

All of our horses have the opportunity to spend their time out in the fields (we have a ladies-only field and a gentleman-only field) but they all keep an eye on the house so they know when to come in to the corrals for feed time. The other evening I hustled outside to secure a spot to take photos, hoping the boys would hustle in and I wasn’t disappointed. Of course, once they caught site of my weird self crouched down with a camera up to my face and Ernest the cat on my back, they all halted pretty quick and waited to hear my voice tell them they were idiots and it was okay to pass. Garth, the big sweetheart, was the only one who didn’t pass right by me… he walked up for some lovins before continuing on his way to the corrals.

WELCOME TO THE BLOG

Fueled by equal parts horse hair and passion, I spend my days capturing the kinds of images that make you stop, smile and ask time to please slow down. Your story, your love, is beautiful and I can’t wait to capture it in images you will treasure for years to come. I believe in real moments and heartfelt conversations on the front porch. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together.
