Not to be outdone by Jessa, just a little over 24 hours later, on April 29th, Sandra foaled this beautiful dunskin (we think) filly.
We bought Sandra in the Summer of 2018, bred her for the first time in 2019 and got out first foal in 2020 – Ronnie. Just to give you an idea of the time that goes into this venture!
She gave us another beautiful colt (Buck) in 2021 so this little gal is our first filly out of her.
Sandra had a little trouble with delivery so Kelly stepped in to rearrange one of June’s shoulders that had been caught back. After that, it was smooth sailing and June stood up, nursed and poop all on a perfectly accelerated little girl schedule. Ha!
And she. is. stunning. Her little doll face and doe eyes and delicate features are just beyond precious.
She is the most timid foal we have had, although she is gaining confidence every day and we have no doubt she’ll come around quickly.
